This yummy dish can be served as an appetizer, side dish or in place of dessert. Preparation coming in three parts makes this just a bit involved, but the result is well-worth it!
2 cups broken, thin pretzels
¾ cups melted butter (or margarine)
3 Tbsp. sugar
- Melt butter in 9 x 13 pan
- Spread pretzels and sugar evenly
- Bake at 400o F for 6 to 7 minutes
1 8 ounce soft cream cheese
1 cup sugar
2 cups cool whip
- Cream together
- Spread over pretzels
2 10 ounce boxes of frozen strawberries (juice, too!)
1 6 ounce strawberry jello
2 cups boiling water
Mix all ingredients together.
When mixture begins to gel, pour over layer 2. Allow to set until completely gelled. Cut into squares and serve.
